The fact just one guy started this is truly amazing! It looks like a AAA game as the presentation is so well done. The main character, Kazer, at some point after the war accidentally became combined with an ancient race, in the form of a crystal dragon which as you see in the trailer will also turn into Kazer’s sword. The game also got 18 minutes of gameplay. In Lost Souls Aside, a war that ended ten years ago saw unknown monsters appear in the world. It was the presentation that initially drew me to this game. During today’s PlayStation China event, developer Ultizerogames revealed Lost Soul Aside is coming to PlayStation 5 alongside its PlayStation 4 release. As well as being like Devil May Cry, I think there are little bits of Bayonetta in here as well as there looks to be a slow motion “witch time” kind of ability too.

For example, we see Kazer jumping across this collapsing bridge and it looked like it was all in real time with the player being in full control and it not being a quick time event. It has fast-paced hack and slash style gameplay that is very stylish, but there is also some very interesting platforming in Lost Soul Aside. Remember how I just said that Kazer reminded me of Dante? Well, the whole game actually has a kind of Devil May Cry thing going on. This is being referred to as a “crystal dragon” by the developer, but this creature can transform into anything that Kazer may need, we have seen him transform into a weapon and even a surfboard! There is some fun banter between Kazer and the Crystal Dragon too and this creature, whatever it is, is able to communicate with some of the other creatures in this land. One of the most interesting aspects of Lost Soul Aside is Kazer’s “friend”. Games from this project could result in great strides for the entire industry.He wants people to join his cause, but he is being hunted down by the authorities who refer to him as “inhuman” which sounds very interesting, it is impossible not to get Dante vibes from this dude! The game has a very sci-fi kind of vibe, with a little bit of fantasy sprinkled on top and that is a style that I am very much into. By allowing them to pair up with major companies, small dreams become a reality. The China Hero Project has done great things for small-time developers in Asia. Provided nothing delays the project, the game should be well on its way for a full release. Upon seeing the fight between protagonist Kazer and a gold masked assailant the emphasis on speed and weighty attacks make for a grand spectacle. Lost Soul Aside appeared as an action-adventure hack n’ slash RPG, and it looked amazing in its demos. The last anyone had heard about the game was that development was going well, but that announcement was some time last year.

Ultizero Games hopes that the game will become a series with a second and third entry after the initial release.įans got their first look at the game back in 2016 with a playable demo appearing at PSX 2017. While the developer hoped for a release in 2018 but since then, it has seen delays. It was announced on Twitter that the game will be a timed PlayStation 4 exclusive. The game takes obvious inspiration from Final Fantasy XV, and graphically, it looks stunning. The development team was initially a one-man team creating the game in Unreal Engine 4. Ultizero Games is a small independent developer based in China that is part of the China Hero Project.
